Meet the Founder – Mike Franks
Michael has been in the construction and property industry for now over 30 years. He graduated in 1996 from Liverpool John Moores University with an Honours degree in Building Surveying. Subsequently he gained professional membership to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1999 (MRICS status).
After working for various regional and nationally recognised private practices in London, Liverpool and Manchester, Michael set up Franks Associates in 2004.
Michael has a broad and deep knowledge of most aspects of Building Surveying, with part of his workload being regular instructions from certain leading 100 UK law firms for a wide range of construction and property related issues. He has a particular interest in party wall surveying and assists a number of offshore trusts with various party wall matters relating to their high-end residential properties within Zones 1 and 2 of central London. He is a past Treasurer and an active member of the North West branch of The Pyramus & Thisbe Society (formerly The Pyramus & Thisbe Club).
Michael does take instructions for work nationwide, but predominately practices in the North West, London and Oxford.
